“Everyone learns every day” says P.S.5’s school slogan. This year learning was about more than the academics.

Under the creative guidance and supervision of artist Diana Sorkin of DIANA’S Murals and More, the fifth graders created wall murals to leave as a legacy for their beloved Huguenot school.

The second floor classrooms are occupied by Kindergarten and first grade students. Grade level favorite books became the inspiration for the murals.

When Day de Dada was asked to take part in the show "Residual Effects" at the Art at Bay Gallery I had to wonder how it would be for our performance art group to be in an "on the wall" gallery show. We're used to mixing it up, acting out and interacting where ever we go. Could we figure out how to take our brand of performance art and put it in a gallery settting for a whole month? Would the impact of our live shows be lost?

So many questions and only one month to answer them.…

Homeless Art Gallery in Silver Lake Park with SIcolab

We are working on our theme for the 6-6-09 Day de Dada Art Parade called "Day de Dada Shop -o- Rama" . The theme is art and money, art and commerce, art vs $$$$.
