At present, I am teaching Advanced Photography at Pratt, NYC campus those interested in registering can visit http://www.pratt.edu/newsite/index.php?group_id=93&ccps_new_id=301
I also work full time at The Alice Austen House Museum, but my story really started at age 19, I started my teaching career by designing and teaching 3 teen photography courses at the Artlab in Snug Harbor.
While pursuing my BA in Photography, I managed The Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art and was Thomas Walther's personal assistant during his show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I also assisted in
publishing his book, "Other Pictures." I interned for Lori Grinker, Photojournalist and Harvey Lloyd, travel Photographer. In addition, I was on Dean's list and received the Russart Photography Scholarship.
Immediately after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Photography, I became a darkroom and teaching Assistant at The International Center of Photography. Soon after, I became partner and principal photographer of Fine Art Fotos Inc. Some of my assignments included photographing Ariel Sharon, Billy Crystal, Danny Aiello and Judith Light. As a grant awarded artists in 2003, I created the exhibit "Vacancy," which was the first of a series of photo essays that are
symbolic self-narrative exploration coming of age. This essay documents my exploration of deteriorating landmarks and abandoned structures much like exploring the interior of lost souls, coincidently many of the photographed sites where used in the movie Freedomland. "Vacancy" was funded in part from the Department of Cultural Affairs and the exhibit traveled throughout the USA winning many awards and International Honorable mentions. Through portraits
and sound recordings, my most recent exhibit, "Confessions…not boring ones," I seek to find a common thread that weaves through the fabric that joins us into the quilt of human bondage.
Currently, I am working on two projects which connect the personal individual struggle to the environment. I believe the world around us is effected by the everyday life choices we make.
