Hey all. I started an account with flickr so we can share pictures. just click on my staten island life pets on top of one of the photos, if you don't already have one, get a flickr account. Then share your photos with me. They will be posted here.

Hey Dru, Do you have 2 separate bowls? If not, get another bowl. If Ida still goes to the other bowl, you might have to put jeter into another room to eat for awhile, so you can regulate their eating.
Sunday is my day off yeah!!!!
about the turtle picture, my friend has a red-eared slider turtle. I tried to take pictures but could never get a good shot until he held the turtle in his hand. I then through the magic of photo shop blacked out the background, thus getting turtle in hand.

Kim, I was looking for you at Petco on Sunday but they told me it was your day off. Oh well.
But speaking of pets, perhaps you or Ken will know the answer to this. Ida Kitty has always eaten her meals like a dog, all in one fell swoop. Then Jeter Cat came to live with us - he's a skinny nibbler. Ida started eating her food and his, and she started getting bigger and bigger. Then a 2-cat friend suggested I leave out a giant bowl of food, that eventually Ida would self-regulate. Well, 6+ months later and Ida's huge. No self-regulation there, unless it was to train for competition eating. I just started them back on portioned, timed meals again. This time Jeter may be picking up his speed eating and Ida seems more active, less inclined to -- well, she can't kill herself with food - there isn't enough any more! Anyway, do you have any insight into how to help one cat not eat herself silly and make sure the other cat still gets enough food? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. On another front: whose picture? Whose turtle? Both lovely!
