The Directors Chair 24 hour film challenge is set to kick off at 6PM on Friday, May 14th.  Filmmakers will be challenged to create an original short film in 24 hours based on a theme and surprise element assignment.  All of the completed films will premiere at our film festival August 19-22nd. 
The winner will receive $200.00 August 22nd at our awards ceremony.  It's easy to register. Their is no entry fee.  The deadline to register is 
April 30th.

Rules of the Game
Make a film in 24 hours. 
You will write, direct and edit a short film no more than 5 minutes long. 

The ("Theme”) and surprise element (“Surprise Element”) which MUST be used by all Teams participating will be assigned to each Team. 
 an example of a Theme is (“Lonely night home”).  The Surprise Element can be a prop (ex. toothbrush), which must be incorporated into the
 film.
  
At 6pm sharp on Friday, May 14th, 2010, each participating 
Team will receive an e-mail at the e-mail address they provided in their online team registration form.  In addition to the e-mail, the theme and surprise element will be posted on “The Directors Chair” website. 
www.thedirectorschairtv.com   THERE WILL NOT BE A LIVE THEME ANNOUNCEMENT.  All teams must check their e-mail  for the theme and surprise element assignment. 
 
Theme and Surprise Element Required.  In order for a Team to qualify as a potential “Winner”  each Team‟s Entered Film plot must revolve around the assigned Theme and must incorporate the  Surprise Element.
