Staten Island OutLOUD offers a special opportunity for young Islanders, ages 10-15. Young Writers OutLOUD meets on Saturday afternoons, October 10, 17 & 24th, from 2-4pm at the Richmondtown branch of the New York Public Library, located at 200 Clarke Ave, Staten Island NY 10306. FREE!

Young Writers OutLOUD is a welcoming and challenging series of workshops that enhance appreciation of American classics, and encourage young Islanders to develop their own creative writing styles. A portion of every workshop will focus on spoken-word performance.

Staten Island OutLOUD's Young Writers OutLOUD workshops give Island youth an opportunity to write and perform their own original work, as well as some important classics. Some work by young Island writers is already published here on our website.
