“Residual Effects”

“ART at Bay,” a new fine arts collaborative gallery at 70 Bay Street, Staten Island a block from the S.I. ferry, opens its 3rd. monthly exhibit Friday February 5th, 2010 till Sunday February 28th, 2010.

Opening Reception: “Feb. 6th, 2010 (1st Saturday) from 7pm–9pm. Day de Dada Performance, music by Pete Cummings, bass and Tom Gavornik, jazz guitar. Food & refreshments provided by Cargo Café.
Literary Readings: Feb. 14th, 2010 (2nd Sunday) at 3pm.

Day de Dada - Performance Art Collective produces events based on
concepts of the dada and fluxus movements, bringing non-traditional
art forms to Staten Island since 2002. We present spontaneous and
experimental performance art pieces with audience participation and
interaction. This past year we have been working on the Art Recycling Project to
explore the idea of what art is. Donated artwork and pieces found in
the garbage have been repainted, cut up and collaged at the Van Duzer
Days street fair, Bridge the Gap and recently at the Château de Dada
open house to make new works of "art". These works will be exhibited
at the ART at Bay "Residual Effects" show and we will also be
recycling more work at the February 6 reception. www.daydedada.com
